Raytheon Sr Financial Analyst in El Segundo, California
The F/A-18 Production Finance team in S3 is looking for a financial analyst to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a dynamic environment in support of a new and existing Radar programs. Primary responsibilities Operations support for the F18 Production programs, support with EAC preparation and program forecasting for Material/IOT program content. Other responsibilities include coordination and collection of data, analysis of data for financial accuracy and trends, preparation of internal and external financial reporting. Additionally, the individual will develop program budgets, review actual costs, independently ensure company policies are followed and financial discipline is maintained, and frequently perform ad-hoc analysis. Ability to analyze and effectively communicate earned value data to internal and external customers as well as partner and be flexible with other functions to meet business expectations is needed. Individual will partner with the Program Manager and CAM’s/IPTL’s, as well as other functions such as contracts and supply chain, to drive the successful execution and closure of programs. This includes proper Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) implementation, i.e., baseline generation, maintenance, variance analysis, data reviewing and reporting and actively identifying risks that affect cost and/or schedule and providing proactive analysis of all financial aspects of the projects. In addition, the position is responsible for earned value updates, utilization of PMX tool suite, updates to BPS non-firm planning. Duties and Responsibilities Support PRISM Earned Value Internal Reporting. Request and review weekly / monthly variance analysis prepared by IPT(s). Work with PM and IPTL’s to baseline new programs in accordance with Raytheon policies. Develop processes and train F18 business team in Material best practices Prepare charts and present financial data at weekly Program Performance Reviews. Run monthly RIVR comparisons in PMX and make corrections where necessary to ensure alignment. Support EAC process and prepare and review EACs with appropriate management levels. Drive improved forecasting of IOT/Material costs across F18 Support Program closure activity Required Skills: 4+ years of related finance experience Strong analytical abilities, with understanding of operational support with experience in material Understanding and application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standard knowledge of industry practices Experience in interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, etc.) in program development and execution Experience in communicating financial concepts, trends and variances to management. Proactive, creative and innovative in solving problems and issues Ability to plan and manage daily tasks, analyze, provide results and recommend solutions to various levels of management Strong communication skills (written and oral) E xcellent personal computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Experience with modeling, creating formulas, and complex data mining using MS Office Excel Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Desired Skills: Experience with SAP APEX, BW and BPS Earned value analysis (SPI/CPI/TCPI/IEAC/VAR) Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis Ability to Work under minimal supervision.
